আদার কীটপতঙ্গ-এর নাম – (Shoot borer)

ক্ষতি/আক্রমণের প্রকৃতি –

1. Ginger shoot borer caterpillar feeds on the young shoots.
বোরার শুঁয়োপোকা আদার অঙ্কুর,কচি কান্ড খায়।
2. As the leaves grow, horizontal holes will be observed on the infected leaves.
পাতা বড় হওয়ার সাথে সাথে আক্রান্ত পাতায় সটান গর্ত দেখা যায়।
3. Yellowing and drying of leaves of infested pseudostems.
4. The presence of a bore-hole on the pseudostem through which frass is extruded and the withered.

1. Install Pheromone traps @ 4-5/ acre.

Spray bio pesticide containing Neem oil (Aaria Biolife Neem Oil) or Beauveria bassiana, Metarhizium anisopliae, Verticillium lecanii (Aaria Biolife ProTectum) @ 20 ml/ 10 L water.

রাসায়নিক নিয়ন্ত্রণ –

Spray a mixture of Chlorpyrifos 20% EC (Tafaban/ Dursban) @ 20 ml or Quinalphos 25% EC (Ekalux/ Dhanulux) @ 20 ml/ 10 L of water.

ক্ষতি/আক্রমণের প্রকৃতি –

1. Rhizome Fly lays eggs on the exposed rhizomes.
2. On hatching, the larvae, bore into the rhizomes, which results in softening and rotting of rhizomes.

সাংস্কৃতিক/যান্ত্রিক/শারীরিক নিয়ন্ত্রণ –

1. Fallow crop rotation.
2. Select healthy rhizomes for sowing.

1. Leaves become folded or rolled longitudinally. 2. Complete defoliation takes place in severe condition.
